Stephanie and Kevin’s vintage-style wedding was a detail-driven, foodie heaven thanks to the couple’s love for Chicago traditions. After a full Catholic mass at one of my favorite churches, St. Hedwig’s in Wicker Park, we headed to LaSalle street for a few old-school, Chicago backdrops and then walked around the financial district for a few gritty shots on the L and surrounding alleys. Then it was on to North Beach, empty and quiet during late September which was wonderful for pictures. Stephanie and Kevin picked the perfect venue for their vintage vision, The Chicago History Museum, full of great artifacts and signage. The couple wanted the cocktail eats to reflect their favorite foods from Chicago neighborhoods including hot dogs from Wrigleyville, Satay from Chinatown and tortillas from Pilsen. The reception was packed with great family speeches, sounds from the Matt Stedman Band and late night snacks and goodies.
