Lisa and Greg met on Match.com over lunch on a Saturday at Caffe de Luca. In Lisa’s words, “After the jitters passed, we relaxed and got to know each other over brunch. The date ended with a handshake and a smile-how formal.” But that was definitely not the end to their meeting! After a week later they got together with friends at a Wrigleyville bar to watch Greg’s favorite team, the Cardinals battle the Cubs and that sparked their ever-growing Cubs/Card rivalry. They fell in love shortly after their baseball themed meeting and married last winter right after Thanksgiving. Even though the day started out cold and rainy, the weather slowly improved later in the day for us to tromp around Chicago for some pics. After the ceremony in the beautiful Holy Rosary Church we drove to my favorite spots in the industrial corridor and took advantage of the Michigan Avenue lights. The Crowne Plaza on Madison was the place for the reception and was full of beer and celebration for both the Holiday and the couple’s wedding. Thanks to Lisa and Greg for getting gritty in the West Loop and to Kelly Shaw for her continued excellence!
