Session Notes: For this Chicago Botanic Gardens engagement session, the light was absolutely beautiful! The Botanic Gardens is one of my favorite places for pictures for both engagements and weddings so needless to say, wherever we went, the backdrops were gorgeous. Chloe and Andrew wanted a very organic, romantic and natural setting for their session and the Gardens were a perfect choice. And the couple loved venturing off the beaten path with me to capture both nuanced light and different textures.
We really had such a lovely time venturing all over the gardens sections. My favorites are the Japanese Gardens, full of bonsai trees and a coi pond. And then there is the Sensory Garden, where there were tons of white tree barks and quiet sounds to hear. Lastly, the Evergreen garden had every pine and evergreen tree you could think of. And the garden offered the most beautiful vibrant green backdrops. Perfect for the summer season and it smelled amazing the whole time we shoot there.
