Couple: Mallory and Josh
Venue: Independence Grove Wedding
Style: Simple and elegant.

How you both met: We met in undergrad at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Your proposal: For several birthdays and anniversaries, we have made each other crossword puzzles with inside jokes. To propose, Josh made Mallory a special crossword puzzle, where some squares were highlighted. After unscrambling the highlighted letters, it said “Will you marry me?”

Style/Inspiration for your wedding: For our Independence Grove wedding, we wanted a simple and relaxed style.

Details that mattered to you: Creating a fun environment and having everyone dance.

What you love about your dress: I love the lace!

Photographer Notes: Mallory and Josh had a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding at Independence Grove. The venue is part of the Forest Preserve network in Libertyville, Ilinois. And, it has the most lush backdrops in the area. The couple arrived together at the venue and we trekked around the area for couple pics, and then added in the wedding party. Afterwards, we headed to the nearby pavilion for the Ketubah signing and indoors for the traditional Jewish ceremony. Then, it was time for the craziest Hora dance ever!! Thanks to the couple for such a lovely day and thanks for the craziness!
