Couple: Rachel and Robert
Venue: Summer Wedding at Elawa Farms
Style/Inspiration: Rustic elegance

How you both met (from the bride): I was visiting my sorority sister in Chicago for the first time when I met Robert through her friend. We dated long distance for about 9 months before he moved to the east coast and 3 years later we are moving back to the Midwest!

Your proposal: Robert proposed in Cape Cod on the water at our resort while they were on vacation. He made a picture book of our entire relationship and at the end it said, “I have one more question left to ask you….”

Style/Inspiration for your wedding: For our Summer Wedding at Elawa Farms, we wanted a rustic and elegant style. I love soft romantic colors. I got a lot of the inspiration from Elawa itself – it is so beautiful, natural, and classic and I wanted to the wedding to feel easy going, fun and intimate.

Details that mattered to you: Everything! I wanted to have personalized details throughout the day. I cared about the colors being cohesive but not too matchy-matchy. And I really needed to have the French country chairs at the reception and the flower garlands for long tables

What you love about your dress: I am in love with the lace – especially how it is scalloped at the bottom. And the back – I love the dramatic back…the buttons that all the way down could have sold it themselves!
