As an Asheville Wedding Elopement photographer,  I’m always so thrilled whenever I receive an elopement inquiry. And add in that the elopement is going to happen in the winter months, even adds to my excitement. I love Asheville at any time, but during the winter, the mountains are so beautiful with all the stark trees, and cool sky tones- I think it’s one of the best months for any type of photography. Especially for a Biltmore Estate Elopement!

Meg (the bride) emailed me about a month before their elopement and shared with me the backstory of how she and Will stumbled upon each other on Instagram, of all places. High school acquaintances turned Instagram pals turned engaged. I thought their story was so lovely and heartfelt, and I couldn’t wait to hear more details.

Meg and Will wanted a low-key elopement–just their parents, siblings and children along for the ride. Since they both have such fond memories of their time at the Biltmore, they decided the place would be the spot for their nuptials-all outdoors, no matter if it was cold, rainy or snowing!

While most rave about Biltmore in summer or fall, I’m here to say winter has its own quiet charm. Sure, it’s a tad chilly, but the sun’s beaming down, warming everyone’s spirits.

Less hustle, more space to breathe, and those scenic views? Absolute perfection. Capturing every heartfelt moment, I couldn’t help but feel privileged to document Meg and Will’s love story. Here’s to love, laughter, and unforgettable moments, no matter the season!
