Knoxville Wedding Session at The Candoro Marble Building

As an Asheville Wedding Photographer, I absolutely love to travel to styled shoots, and for weddings! In this session, I had the opportunity to shoot in beautiful Knoxville, TN, about a 2 hour drive from Asheville. Have you ever stepped into a place so breathtaking that it feels like you’ve walked straight into a storybook? This place is not just a venue; it’s a time capsule of Tennessee history, wrapped in the elegance of Beaux-Arts architecture and sprinkled with the timeless charm of Tennessee Pink Marble- a perfect spot for a Knoxville Wedding session! Oh, and did I mention that it was designed by the legendary architect Charles Barber? I felt like I was shooting in a history capsule!

A Love Letter to Tennessee Pink Marble

First off, let’s talk about this marble. Tennessee Pink Marble isn’t just a pretty name—it’s a big deal. The Candoro Building showcases it like the crown jewel it is, with master craftsmen having carved out stunning details that still leave you in awe decades later. The building’s grandeur and its history practically whisper elegance in every corner, which made it the perfect backdrop for our shoot.

Three Couples, Three Stories

I had the pleasure of working with three gorgeous model couples, each bringing their own unique chemistry to the shoot. With each couple, myself and the other photographers explored different spots around the building, from the grand staircase to the intricate archways, creating a series of dreamy and classic images that also carried a modern twist. There’s something about mixing old-world charm with contemporary love that just clicks—like adding a modern playlist to a vintage vinyl collection.

As a wedding photographer, shooting at The Candoro Building was like being a kid in a candy store.
