Couple: Jacqueline and Jeff
Venue: Chicago Mid-America Club Wedding
Style: Old School Chicago meets Great Gatsby

How you both met: (from their website) Now this kind of love could only happen to a couple like us, and only happen in a town like this, Chicago – Our Kind of Love. Take a stroll down memory lane to September 2014 where two individuals’ paths intersect for the first time. On a Monday morning, a quietly accomplished marathoner, Jacqueline, meets Jeff, an entrepreneurial spirit, with a recently baked idea for a new business. Over the next month, Jacqueline and Jeff, allow curiosity for each others’ passions to spin and twirl them through the town of Chicago together. The energy of the city is a catalyst for these two spirits to share stories about why each aspires to make Chicago “home” – while folding in their values and experiences from each of their hometowns: Pittsburgh & Cleveland.

As time goes on, the couple finds workouts along the Lake Shore Trail to be a source of inspiration, farmer’s markets for discovering life stories and dinner from dive bar hamburgers to five-star plated meals to share hopes and dreams. Our Kind of Love has blossomed into a complementary balance of absolute care and concern for each other to outright support and encouragement for the challenges that we choose to accomplish.

Your proposal: It had been weeks since there had been a beautiful blue sky day in Chicago. Jacqueline and Jeff met up for their early Saturday morning run to the gym. After a workout they went for a walk, knowing it would be one of the last weekends before the seasons changed and weather in Chicago became to cold. After a walk through the Farmers Market, the Lincoln Park Zoo and around the Pond, twice, Jeff managed to get Jacqueline all by herself in one of her favorite spots in Lincoln Park – the lookout over South Pond.

Jeff held Jacqueline’s hands, talking about their future and the great things to come, he knelt down on one knee. ‘Jacqueline, will you Marry Me?’ Jacqueline was so wonderfully surprised and screamed ‘YES!’. The icing on the cake were those passing by to stop and say ‘Congratulations!’ and the people from across the pond who heard Jacqueline say yes were cheering from afar.
