Wedding Style: Modern and relaxed elegance at old-school country club
Emmy and Mat’s Country Club wedding was chock full of close family and friends, at an old-school golf club in a neighborhood where Mat grew up. Like many weddings in the past couple of years, they had to postpone all the celebrations due to Covid. But on the day of the wedding, it was clear skies and beautiful weather. After Emmy’s getting ready portion of the day, we hiked over to the venue where we did a gorgeous first look on the club grounds and the greens on our super-sonic cart rides for our couple session. So much fun!
Then, we all headed to Emmy and Mat’s pre-ceremony area and photographed some in-between moments of the couple relaxing with their wedding party. For the ceremony, the guests arrived and were seated on the last green of the golf course. The green “altar” was encased in gorgeous summer flowers and the sunset was the ceremony backdrop. After the couple exchanged vows, rings and kissed for the first time, they led their guests to a dance party down the aisle!
The party continued during the cocktail party held outside during the sunset as the couple went around and took pictures with just about everyone! The reception was a crazy evening of hilarious speeches, tearful parent dances, and one insane dance floor. Thanks to Emmy and Mat for such a wonderful day and so many special moments. Your wedding was a dream to photograph!
