Ideas for a Fall Retro Wedding

I am really enjoying attending all these great styled shoots near Asheville! This Glitzy Retro Wedding Session was on a rainy, foggy day and was a perfect day to spend indoors. This session was organized by my dear friend Ashley Sieg, and as usual, the decor was fun, eclectic and retro in a very glitzy way. And can we talk about the gorgeous couple! Lauren and Will are a real couple who live in Asheville and they were an absolute dream to work with. Both were so very comfortable with each other and the camera which made shooting them a breeze. Ashley did an amazing job of hunting down the right dress, choosing a beautiful muted palette of colors, and picking such a light and airy venue.

Everyone who attended the shoot had such a wonderful time and the details are on trend for the season. And the dress was my favorite! It was a sparking, cocktail dress with beautiful puffy sleeves and fit Lauren like a glove. The flowers were a lovely Fall combination of ivory, peach and red. And let’s not forget the disco balls! They add such a 70’s retro feel to everything. Hopefully one of these days, I will get photograph a real wedding that uses these shiny numbers all over their reception space. How fun would that be!
