Your proposal: Brad had moved to Chicago the day before, after a few months of long distance, from Indianapolis. And his whole family was in town for their annual Christmas trip to Chicago. We were all at the Christkindl Market at Daley Plaza taking pictures by the tree. Before Brad and I were done with “our turn” he said, “One more thing…” and got down on one knee.

Details that mattered to you: We wanted a venue that showcased the city that we live in, rather than a ballroom that hid the buildings, lights and character. The Hotel Allerton was the perfect spot! Good music for a great party was also important.
What you love about your dress: I love that it is simple and flashy at the same time! I immediately fell in love with the small bow in front and the gorgeous tulle train. I feel like Audrey Hepburn in it. Also, I love that it allowed me to wear whatever shoes I wanted – I’m not a heels-all-night type of girl!
