Couple: Ashlee and Mike
Venue: Ignite Glass Studios Wedding
Style/Inspiration: Casual elegance

How you both met: OKCupid. Our first date was over beer and board games.

Your proposal: Mike proposed at home with Christmas lights. I came home to work and found him on one knee with the lights shaped into the sign language symbol for “I love you”. It’s always been a little sign we’ll flash at each other when no one is looking or through the window as we leave.

Style/Inspiration for your wedding: For our Ignite Glass Studios Wedding we wanted a BBQ meets soiree.

Details that mattered to you: Family, genuine emotion and energy.

What you love about your dress? The simple silhouette. I honestly tried to find something even more minimalistic. I do like the flair the accessories add. I actually had a lot of anxiety about dresses (as in I avoided it). And am proud of the personality the accessories add including the blue suede shoes. Also, the geometric earrings, somewhat undone / romantic hair, and spunky sash.
