Couple: Kayla and Michael
Wedding Theme: Fall Mountain ceremony at Pretty Place with a family-themed reception at Kanuga Inn.

How did you meet? We met on Facebook. We had friended each other, and one night I was scrolling through my news feed and just liking all these posts not realizing they all belonged to him. He ended up liking some of my posts and then reached out to me asking why I was blowing up his notifications. I honestly had no idea they were all posts he shared (I didn’t pay attention to the name). We started talking, met in person and the rest is history.

Your proposal: We had just moved into our first house January of 2022. In April, we hosted a birthday party for Michael (groom) with our family attending. He opened his gifts and when he had finished, he said “oh and one more thing” and got on one knee. We were in the kitchen and everyone was surrounding us.

Inspiration for your wedding: Small, mountain wedding with close family nearby.

Details that matter to you: Definitely would be my ceremony destination. Once I saw how beautiful it was, I knew nothing else could compare and that was where I wanted to marry my best friend.

What you love about your dress: I love that it’s lace and fits my personality. I was also able to customize it and make it more me, by taking out some of the big “poof” in the skirt. My hand stitched pearl sandals from Greece complete it.
