Shaina and John had their Chicago Merchandise Mart wedding at Marshall’s Landing Restaurant along the famed Chicago River. Thank God we got good weather!! The days leading up to the wedding were both rainy and unseasonably cool. But, on the wedding day we had sunny skies and warm temps. We started with getting ready photos at the Holiday Inn, Merchandise Mart and then headed across the street for a cityscape first look. The nearby River Walk area was bustling with people and everyone was congratulating the couple as we strolled along the river.
I absolutely love shooting on the new River Walk! There are so many great backdrops within the area, and the afternoon light is just magic. After we spent time with the couple, we headed back to the Merchandise Mart for family photos. And then couple were married in a theater-style setting with family and friends. Then, the night ended with the traditional Hora dance along with some major hula-hooping. Done by the groom!
