Romantic Mountain Elopements
I absolutely adore both living and photographing in the mountains! Especially during Fall!! And this year’s lush colors were some of the most vibrant colors I have ever seen. I wanted to take full advantage of the season, so I organized a romantic mountain elopement with my friend and collaborator Mila Wilson Photography. And a real live model couple who lives in the area, Kiere and Kolin. After much planning and countless emails back and forth, we decided on the Pisquah Forest mountains for our elopement session. We started at golden hour, when all the tourists started leaving, at Graveyard Fields. Afterwards, we headed down the mountain and stopped at gorgeous overlooks and secluded wooded areas. We photographed until sunset, when the skies turned pink and purple and we were all cold inside. Our model couple were fierce troopers, braving the cold and trudging through all the rough mountainous terrain.
Can I talk about my team! It was so great working with Mila Wilson. For our beautiful flower bouquet, Kat from All the Pretty Flowers in Asheville created a Fall masterpiece.
