Salvage One Family Session!

For me, family sessions are a way to keep in touch with my past clients and to see their beautiful lives. I can’t tell you how much fun it is to watch all my past wedding couples’ grow into families of kids and pets alike. And on another front, I get to meet new families and document a special event in their history. Or just shoot a session for the Holidays! Whatever the case may be, I really do love spending time with each and every family and creating some great moments together.

Like my weddings, locations are incredibly important to me. This session was shot at one of my beloved locations in Chicago, Salvage One, located in the Fulton Market neighborhood. The couple had reached out to me saying that they wanted to have their session both indoors and outdoors. And, wanted our locations to reflect the love for their home near the Fulton Market area. So, I suggested a place where I often shoot weddings that has a vast array of vintage backdrops. After booking an hour at Salvage One, we also decided on the Hubbard Street mural area about 5 minutes away for our outdoor portion of the session.

On the very wintery day of the session, I was so happy we shot indoors for an hour! We had so much fun going from floor to floor shooting in all the different vignettes of Salvage One. Then, we went to our mural street and ended the day in the snow.
