Wedding Style: Eclectic, fun and full of family!
Yes, another Salvage One Wedding on the books! Christina and Dave’s wedding this past Saturday at Salvage One in Chicago started off rainy, but then turned sunny, with clouds as the day went on. Honestly, one of the best weather conditions for photography! We started at the Westin Hotel on Michigan Avenue. Then, it was on to our first look across the street at the 4th Presbyterian Church courtyard. The cathedral arches made for a perfect place for the couple’s first look. After that, we did a quick shot in the middle of Michigan Avenue, to show off the couple in the city’s urban chaos.
On our way to Salvage One, we stopped briefly at the Kinzie Street bridge. And that’s when the rain came! We all piled back onto the bus, and ventured down to Hubbard street and had some fun inside all the colorful viaducts. Then, as the rain stopped and we ventured further down on Fulton Market to the Metra tracks. We all loved this blue wall right across from the tracks where it served as one of our favorite places for pics.
After some more couple shots around Salvage One, it was time for the ceremony. The priest recited this hilarious story of how the couple met and how at first, Christina hardly noticed Dave. But then the couple met a few months afterwards and that’s when Christina fell in love with him. During the ceremony all the guests were laughing and crying, which made for some great moments. And, the reception was equally as crazy with Dave’s brother doing a rap-scientist-poetry speech that have everyone in complete stiches. Congratulations to the couple and thanks for a beautiful day!
