Couple: Alex and Dan
Venue: Garfield Park Conservatory Wedding
Style/Inspiration: Beautiful venue with a little tradition mixed in.

How you both met (from the groom): In the backseat of a mutual friend’s car sipping cheap vodka in a Walgreens parking lot. It was magical.

Your proposal: Christmas Day I gave presents of Christmas Past (silly mementos), Christmas Present and Christmas Future (the engagement ring).

Style/Inspiration for your wedding: For our Garfield Park Conservatory wedding, we mostly traditional with a beautiful location. And that required very little decorating.

Details that matter: Music, food, dessert, booze and dancing!

What you love about the dress (from the bride): The beading in the back, the lace, the cap sleeves and the belt.

Photographer’s Notes: Alex and Dan’s wedding was one of those days where the weather was perfect and the venue was so spectacular that we couldn’t take a bad picture. For a short time, I started with Alex at the couple’s home in Pilsen (about 2 blocks from my home!). Then, it was quickly off to the church, which really was about a 5 minute drive.

After the lovely and traditional Greek ceremony, we headed to Garfield Conservatory-one of my favorite places in Chicago. The place has 5 different gardens, and all are equally dynamic and gorgeous for any type of photo session. But with Alex and Dan, the photos were extra special because they were so comfortable with each other and both were having so much fun the whole day! The reception was full of some crazy, Greek dancing and it was a wonderful ending to a gorgeous day. Thanks to the couple for so much fun!!
