How you both met: Through mutual friends. We had crossed paths several times at parties over the years but didn’t start dating until about 5 years later.
Your proposal: I had a favorite chapel in South Carolina, where we both have been vacationing since we were little. My mom and Richie devised a plan to drive to the neighborhood where the chapel is. Both of us went into the chapel to look around (as always) and Richie told me to stand in front of the windows for a picture. I didn’t want to take a picture alone so he set up the self-timer and walked over, and proposed! The whole thing was caught on video.
